I'm surprised that no one here has brought this up for discussion. *Keeping in mind that I'm a hard-core Letterman fan when you read this next bit* I guess it goes to show that anyone with any background, no matter how sleazy or criminal, can be a producer for NBC.

Last night's show was one of the best. The comedy was great-- from the opening scene with "colonge versus gin", all the off the wall walk-ons ($20 for flowers for Zarkowie & donut lady)... and the (what seems to be unscripted) stuff between Paul and Dave was especially barbed and funny. Thank God for TiVo. (I can burn a DVD if anybody missed it.)

I can't believe there are only 9 other fans of David Letterman!

I have Tivo... I have it set to keep the 5 most recent episodes. I usually watch them all within a few days. But somehow, I missed the Pat O'Riely episode of 1/3/06. Damn! It looked good -- I saw a clip of if on the "Cobert Report" on Comedy Central.

I record Dave every night, including while I was away for 2 weeks at Burning Man.

I just saw the episode with Andy Dick. How hilarious was that?! Andy was cracking himself up, and I'm almost certain he didn't want to do that. Dave was in rare form, akin to his olden days at NBC. I've not laughed so much at one interview in a long time. Gotta luv that Andy Dick!

He tells Rupert 7-11 is going to sue his balls off if he calls it a slurpee, yet he continues to do so. Is it all a big joke? Do you think 7-11 is really concerned? I always thought a slurpee was cola-flavored, what Rupert is selling is more of a slushee.

He's so funny how he keeps telling Rupert what to do with his business. Get a slurpee machine, move it, rename, give them away, charge $10, sell them in mugs at half price, extend your hours. Rupert just puts up with it all.

Hiya, and to all who join. I started watching Dave in college, 1986. Throughout the years I've watched pretty regular. At times maybe once or twice a week. Maybe 5 nights a week for a month then back to once or twice a week. But since 9-11, when I realized that A, I needed more laughter in my life and Dave always provided it for me, and B, that Dave was the most versitile interviewer on television. I was so moved by his first show back after the towers fell, interviewing, who was it? Brokaw? and how they were moved to tears. I've seen him insightful and moronic, wise and wise ass. He fills all voids. He's my hero!
