I'm surprised that no one here has brought this up for discussion. *Keeping in mind that I'm a hard-core Letterman fan when you read this next bit* I guess it goes to show that anyone with any background, no matter how sleazy or criminal, can be a producer for NBC.

Re: Blackmail
Thu, October 15, 2009 - 12:49 PMThe blackmail issue is sad, but of course Dave made some lightness from it.
My personal policy is to avoid a celebrity personal life stuff as much as possible. Because in the end, all I really want from Dave is a hour of light-hearted fun.
For any celebrity, unless I read it from a reputable interview or see it from the celebs mouth,I just ignore it. (The only tabloids I ever look at have Bigfoot on the cover.)
The blackmail story will be news for a quite a while. But what really can I do about it? I support Dave by watching his show on TiVo (it is like a Nielsen box!) -

Re: Blackmail
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 10:56 AMthe hassels of celebrity...Dave made a comment (Monday? Tuesday?) about media standing at the door of the theater, hounding female employees as they entered, "did you ever sleep with Dave?" Gads...what a feeding frenzy. I checked out a couple of the entertainment articles posted concerning the Dave and his interns thing and gads, talk about calling in the army of Palin apologists...You'd think that Dave was a TV evangelist, someone claiming moral righteousness, with all the 'hypocrit' bombs being tossed around.
Anyway, I'm with Dave. I've been a fan of his since way back when his show followed Johnny Carson. I don't have any particular problems with Jay Leno or Conan O'Brien. I just think that Dave is funnier.
